Disordered Eating

  • Are you struggling with your body image?
  • Does your fear of gaining weight occupy your thoughts and decisions?
  • Do you find yourself turning to food in the face of stress or loneliness?

Disordered eating can appear in a variety of ways, such as the clinical disorders of anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating and also as struggling with your body image, over-exercising, and/or overeating. I work with clients in the area of disordered eating and body image, including: facilitating groups, workshops, and individual therapy and have received clinical training through Remuda Ranch, a highly recognized treatment facility in the US. I understand that there are often many layers to this struggle and my approach provides a safe and compassionate environment to work towards long lasting recovery.

In our work together, we will focus on:

  • identifying and resolving the emotional issues that drive your relationship with food
  • challenging the destructive patterns of eating and negative self-talk
  • learning to develop healthier coping patterns
  • repairing your relationship with your body and learning to treat it lovingly and compassionately.
